Description

Despite the fact that the majority of the Cypriot population is sufficiently fluent in English, learning the Greek language could be important for any foreign Incoming Researcher wishing to pursue research employment in Cyprus.

Greek language courses are offered by the following Institutions:

School of Modern Greek (University of Cyprus) in Nicosia:

The School of Modern Greek was founded in 1998 and is currently under the aegis of the Faculty of Letters of the University of Cyprus. The School aims to teach the Greek language to non-native speakers, nationals and foreigners, as well as to those who wish to perfect their knowledge of Greek. State Institutes of Further Education (Ministry of Education and Culture), available in all towns across Cyprus:

The State Institutes of Further Education were formed by the Ministry of Education and Culture in 1960 to serve as Institutes for Foreign Languages. The Institutes are currently offering courses in a number of foreign languages to students of all levels across Cyprus. Adult Education Centre (Ministry of Education and Culture), available in all towns across Cyprus:
